Artists · United States
Frank Lloyd Wright (English: Frank Lloyd Wright, June 8, 1867 - April 9, 1959), American architect, interior designer, author, and educator. He designed over a thousand buildings, 532 of which have been completed. Wright believed that architectural structures need to be in harmony with human nature and its environment. This architectural philosophy is called "organic architecture." The best example of organic architecture is Fallingwater (1935) designed by Wright, which was once praised as "the greatest building in American history." Wright's creative period spanned more than 70 years. Wright pioneered the architectural movement known as the Pastoral School and also developed the concept of the Usonian home in the Broadacre City, which was his unique vision in American urban planning. In addition to homes, Wright also designed many unique and innovative offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, hotels, museums and other buildings. He also often designed building interiors, including furniture and stained glass windows. Wright wrote twenty books and many articles during his lifetime, and was a popular speaker. Wright, who was already well known during his lifetime, was named "the greatest American architect" by the American Institute of Architects in 1991. . Wright's colorful life often made headlines, including his divorce from his first wife, Kathleen Lee Tobin, for falling in love with his client's wife, Maha Borthwick (Borswick was murdered at Taliesin in 1914 before the divorce), his acrimonious marriage and divorce from his second wife, Miriam Noel, and his relationship with his third wife, Olgivina Lloyd Wright, whom he married in 1928. In 2019, eight buildings designed by Frank Roy Wright were simultaneously selected as World Heritage Sites.

Artists · Spain
Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (Spanish: Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes; March 30, 1746 – April 16, 1828) was a Spanish Romantic painter and printmaker. He is considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His paintings, drawings and prints reflected the historical turmoil of his time and had a profound influence on important painters of the 19th and 20th centuries. Goya is often hailed as "the last classical master and the first modern master". Goya was born in 1746 in Funde Todos, Aragon, into a middle-class family. He studied painting in Zaragoza in his early years and later moved to Madrid to develop. In 1786, Goya became a court painter to the Spanish royal family. His early career was represented by painting portraits of Spanish nobles and royalty, as well as sketches of Rococo tapestries for the royal palace. In 1793, a serious illness of unknown cause rendered him deaf, which became a turning point in his life. Since then, his work style has become increasingly gloomy and pessimistic. His later easel paintings and murals, prints and drawings seem to reflect his bleak prospects on a personal, social and political level, in contrast to his early pursuit of social status. He served as director of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and was promoted to "Primer Pintor de Cámara" (Primer Pintor de Cámara) in 1799. During the Peninsular War, Goya stayed in Madrid, an experience that seems to have had a profound impact on him. His feelings can be glimpsed in the series of prints "The Disaster of War" and paintings such as "May 2, 1808" and "May 3, 1808". His late creations culminated in the "Black Paintings" from 1819 to 1823. These paintings were painted directly on the walls of the "House of the Deaf" where he lived. At that time, he was disillusioned with the political and social development of Spain and lived a life of near isolation from the outside world. In 1824, Goya finally left Spain and moved to Bordeaux, France. He died in 1828 at the age of 82.

Edouard Manet
Artists · France
Édouard Manet (French: Édouard Manet, January 23, 1832 - April 30, 1883), a native of Paris, France, a famous modernist painter, is considered a key figure in the transition from realism to impressionism. At first glance, Manet's painting style should belong to the classical realism style, and the details of his characters are quite realistic. But the reason why Manet is also classified as an Impressionist painter is that the themes he painted subverted the conservative thinking of realism. If you want to paint war, paint scenes of high conflict and executions. If you want to draw a picnic, draw a controversial contrast, with the naked woman sitting naturally among the gentlemen in suits. Manet made it clear that Impressionism was not distinguished solely by painting technique, but that subject matter was also a concept that could be rethought.
