Edouard Manet
Édouard Manet (French: Édouard Manet, January 23, 1832 - April 30, 1883), a native of Paris, France, a famous modernist painter, is considered a key figure in the transition from realism to impressionism. At first glance, Manet's painting style should belong to the classical realism style, and the details of his characters are quite realistic. But the reason why Manet is also classified as an Impressionist painter is that the themes he painted subverted the conservative thinking of realism. If you want to paint war, paint scenes of high conflict and executions. If you want to draw a picnic, draw a controversial contrast, with the naked woman sitting naturally among the gentlemen in suits. Manet made it clear that Impressionism was not distinguished solely by painting technique, but that subject matter was also a concept that could be rethought.
