Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande-Butera (English: Ariana Grande-Butera, /.ɑːriˈɑːnə ˈɡrɑːndeɪ bjʊˈtɛərə/; June 26, 1993 -), American female singer, songwriter and actress. With a vocal range that spans four octaves and reaches as high as a whistle, she is regarded as a profoundly influential figure in the world of pop music. Authoritative music publications such as "Rolling Stone" and "Billboard" rated her as one of the greatest artists in history. She was twice shortlisted for Time's "Top 100" list in 2016 and 2019. Grande began her acting career as a teenager, starring in the 2008 Broadway musical 13, and later rose to fame playing the character Kate Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victory (2010 to 2013) and its spin-off Sam and Kitty (2013 to 2014). After signing with Republic Records, she released her debut album "Beloved" (2013). This retro-style pop and R&B album topped the Billboard 200 album chart upon its release. Grande incorporated elements of electronic music into her two subsequent albums, "All of Me" (2014) and "Dangerous Woman" (2016). Both albums achieved global success and spawned hit singles such as "Big Trouble", "Release", "Bang Bang", "Last Time", "Like You" and "Swagger". Grande explored trap styles on her albums Sweetener (2018), which earned her her first Grammy Award, and Thank You, Next (2019), which spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles "Thanks, Next" and "Seven Diamond Rings." With the lead single of the same name from the album Sexy (2020), as well as the collaborative singles "Stuck with U" and "Let the Rain Fall", she set a record for having the most number one singles on the US singles chart. After a hiatus, Grande returned to the music scene with the dance-influenced Eternal Sunshine (2024), which included the US number one single "Yeah, And Then What?" 〉 and 〈Can’t be friends (waiting for your love)〉. During this period, she returned to the screen, starring in the political satire "Don't Look Up" (2021); and then played the role of Glinda in the fantasy musical "Wicked", released in 2024.
