Babe Ruth
George Herman "Babe" Ruth, Jr. (English: George Herman "Babe" Ruth, Jr., February 6, 1895 - August 16, 1948) was an American baseball player. He was the most representative second-string player in the history of the country's professional baseball. He served as both a pitcher and an outfielder. In the middle of his career, he gradually played as a hitter. He led the Boston Red Sox to three World Series championships and the New York Yankees to four World Series championships, and was known as the "God of Baseball." In the poll "The Greatest American" held by AOL in 2005, Babe Ruth was selected as the 14th greatest American figure.
