Paul Klee (Paul Klee, December 18, 1879 - June 29, 1940) was a Swiss-German painter. He studied painting at the Munich Art School and produced many prints and line drawings, mostly in black and white. In 1914, he was inspired to travel to Tunisia with his friends, and he became a painter of color paintings. He created excellent works. His famous works include Fish Magic, Zitronen and Viaducts Break Ranks. His painting styles have been classified as Surrealism, Cubism and Expressionism. He also coached in Weimar, Dessau and Dusseldorf. He has a unique appreciation for changes in color. In his mature period, his works used a wide variety of mixed media, such as sand or sawdust, to create paintings with special tension. He and his friend, the Russian painter Kandinsky, were both famous Bauhaus teachers at that time.
