Paul Gauguin
Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (French: Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin, June 7, 1848 - May 8, 1903) was an Impressionist painter born in Paris, France. Most art historians classify him as a Post-Impressionist. His work only became famous after his death. He is a representative figure of Impressionism. In addition to painting, he also has certain achievements in sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and writing. His use of color led to synthesistism, which, coupled with the influence of segregationism, also paved the way for primitivism.
