Dr. Dre
André Romelle Young (English: André Romelle Young, February 18, 1965 -) is an African-American hip-hop musician, music producer, rapper, and entrepreneur, with the stage name Dr. Dre (often translated as Dr. Dre in Chinese, or Dr. Dre, although Doctor is intended to pay tribute to NBA player Dr. J). He specializes in gang rap, created the G-Funk music school, and is a representative figure of West Coast hip-hop. His representative works are "The Next Episode" and "Still D.R.E." in collaboration with Snoop Dogg. He is one of the most successful, well-known, wealthy and influential producers in the hip-hop music industry. The artists discovered and cultivated by Dr. Dre include Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Nat Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, etc. They are all instant choices in the hip-hop industry, which constitutes his godfather status in the hip-hop industry. Kanye West said: "If you ask me, 'Do hip-hop people have great respect for Dre?', it's like asking Christians, 'Did Jesus die to atone for the sins of believers?'"
