Vladimir Nabokov
Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov (Russian: Владимир Владимирович Набоков) Nabokov; April 23, 1899 - July 2, 1977), a 20th-century Russian-American novelist, literary critic, translator, poet, chess enthusiast and entomologist. Nabokov was born in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire, in 1899. During his exile, he wrote a large number of Russian novels (including "The Gift"), but what really made him famous was "Lolita", which he completed the first draft in English in 1955 (it was translated into Russian by himself ten years later). "Lolita" became famous in the twentieth century and became famous in the literary world. Nabokov's subsequent English novels (such as "Pnin", "Dark Fire", "Ada or Eros: A Family Chronicle", etc.) fully demonstrate his love for wording and detailed description.
