She received her first Tony Award nomination in 1962, released her first album in 1963, and won three Grammy Awards. In 1964, she performed "Girls" on Broadway and achieved unprecedented success. In 1968, "Girls" was made into a movie. Streisand won the Academy Award for Best Actress in her first movie appearance. In 1976, she performed in "A Star on a Star"/"Evergreen" and won the Oscar for Best Original Song for the theme song "Evergreen", becoming the first woman to win this honor. Since the 1980s, Streisand has devoted herself to producing and directing. "Yentl" (1983) became the first studio film to be produced, directed, written, and performed by women. At the same time, Streisand became the only woman to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Director. "Streisand" (1991), which was also produced, directed and starred, was nominated for 7 Oscars, including Best Picture. Along with her successful film career, Streisand's music career has not been left out. She has released 36 albums since 1963. In the past 60 years, she has had one US number one album in each decade.
