Steffi Graf
Film & TV · Germany
Stefanie Maria "Steffi" Graf (German: Stefanie Maria "Steffi" Graf, June 14, 1969 -), a German former professional tennis player, the highest singles ranking in the world, 22 Grand Slam winners, the only annual Golden Slam winner in the history of tennis, and a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Graf can perform stably on any type of surface. Whether it is hard court, clay, grass or indoors, he can perform to the best and win championships. His tennis skills are very comprehensive, which is very rare in the tennis world. Graf's best playing style is the laser-like forehand and the extremely low arc of the backhand. The Germans call her the "Forehand Girl (Fräulein Vorhand)". Graf has outstanding physical fitness, an excellent serve, and a very lethal forehand attack. It is her most powerful scoring weapon and is recognized as the best forehand in women's history. The backhand is mostly cutting. Although the offensive power is average, it can force the opponent to be unable to make a powerful return. Graf's footwork is perfect, accurate and quick in position, which is conducive to his forehand attack. His style of running quickly throughout the court, with forehand attacks and backhand cuts, was once called track tennis. Graf is one of the most successful female players in the history of tennis. What is particularly shocking is that in 1988 she set the only Calendar Year Golden Slam in the history of tennis. Among all male and female players, Graf is the only tennis player who has won more than 4 times in each of the 4 Grand Slams. He is also the longest-serving player in the women's world. Graf teamed up with Becker, another German men's tennis legend of his generation, to create an unprecedented golden age for German tennis. In particular, winning the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open in 1989 was one of the most classic memories in German sports history.
