Jean-Luc Godard (French: Jean-Luc Godard, French pronunciation: [ʒɑə lyk ɡɔdaʁ]; December 3, 1930 - September 13, 2022), French and Swiss director. He is one of the founders of French New Wave cinema. Gundam's parents are French and Swiss. He was educated in Nyon, Switzerland, then attended high school in France and then attended the University of Paris. He became interested in film during his days at the Sorbonne University, and in the years after graduation he worked with young filmmakers, producers and critics to promote the New Wave of French cinema. Gundam films are often seen as challenging and competing with the shooting techniques and narrative styles of Hollywood films. He also injected his own political thoughts and views on the history of film development into his films. Reflections of existentialism and Marxist philosophy can often be found in his works.
