Stephen Gary Wozniak (English: Stephen Gary Wozniak, August 11, 1950 -), a Polish-American technology entrepreneur, computer engineer, philanthropist and inventor, is regarded as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution. In 1976, Wozniak co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Jobs, and developed the first and second generation Apple computers in the late 1970s. The second-generation computer became popular across the United States as soon as it was released, becoming the best-selling personal computer at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. Wozniak has many nicknames, such as The Woz, the Wonderful Wizard of Woz, and iWoz (borrowed from the name of Apple's product iPod). WoZ's name is also the abbreviation of "Wheels of Zeus", the company founded by Wozniak. He is reserved and does not take pride in his celebrity status. He has written a personal biography "iWoz: Technology Urchin Wozniak".
