Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury (English: Tyson Fury; August 12, 1988 -), British professional boxer and heavyweight world boxing champion. Fury entered professional boxing in 2008. Since then, he has won several championship titles in the British, Commonwealth, Irish, and WBO continental competitions. In 2015, Fury won the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and "The Ring" titles in one fell swoop after defeating boxing champion Vladimir Klitschko. As a result, he won the Fighter of the Year and Upset of the Year awards from "Boxing Ring" magazine that year. However, at the end of that year, he was stripped of his gold belt by the IBF because he did not agree to fight against the Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Glazkov designated by the IBF. In 2016, he finally gave up his WBA, WBO and IBO gold belts due to failed drug tests and other reasons. In 2018, Fury returned to the ring. On December 1, 2018, Fury fought to a draw with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder. As of 2021, Fury became the WBC and "The Ring" heavyweight world champion after defeating Wilder in February 2020. Fury is widely regarded as the best heavyweight boxer in the world. He lost to Usyk in the boxing championship unification match on May 19, 2024. At the end of the unification match for the WBA, WBO, IBF, and WBC championships, Usyk became the owner of four belts.
