Zhu Zhixin (October 12, 1885 - September 21, 1920), formerly known as Zhu Dafu, also known as Zhu Dafu, was born in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang Province. He was born in Panyu County, Guangzhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province (now Haoxian Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City). He was a modern revolutionary, theorist and propagandist in China. He had long followed Sun Yat-sen and insisted on seeking republic through revolution throughout his life. Later generations often regarded him as Sun Yat-sen's literary genius. Zhu Zhixin was both literary and military and wrote many books during his lifetime. He was also the first theorist to introduce Marx's theories of class struggle and surplus value to Chinese readers. He made achievements in both ideological propaganda and armed struggle. He was once praised by Sun Yat-sen as "the saint in the revolution", "the best comrade" and "the Great Wall of our Party".
