Sosuke Uno
Uno Sosuke (Japanese: Uno Sōsuke/Uno Sosuke, Romanized: Uno Sōsuke August 27, 1922 - May 19, 1998) was a Japanese politician who was born in Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture. He served as the Prime Minister of Japan (the 75th). Before becoming prime minister, Uno was the foreign minister in Takeshita's cabinet. After Noboru Takeshita stepped down due to the Rikuruto scandal, the Liberal Democratic Party wanted to nominate Masayoshi Ito, who had a good image, as prime minister, but he refused again (he had already declined an opportunity to become prime minister in 1980). In desperation, on June 2, 1989, Sosuke Uno of the Nakasone faction was pushed out to clean up the mess and became the 75th Prime Minister of Japan. On June 3, 1989, Sosuke Uno became Prime Minister. After taking office, a sex scandal broke out, and the consumption tax and Likulut scandals caused the Liberal Democratic Party to be defeated in the Senate election. He was responsible for only 69 days in office.
