Kurusu Saburō (Japanese: Kurusu Saburō, March 6, 1886 - April 7, 1954) was a Japanese career diplomat. From 1939 to November 1941, he served as Japan's ambassador to Germany, and on September 27, 1940, as Japan's representative, he signed the "Triple Alliance Treaty" with the foreign ministers of Germany and Italy. Later, in 1941, he was sent to the United States by the Tojo Cabinet as a special envoy to participate in peace negotiations with the United States. At the same time, the Tojo Cabinet also planned to launch an attack on the United States if the negotiations failed.
