Maggie Cheung
Maggie Cheung, Hong Kong actress. Starting as the runner-up of Miss Hong Kong in 1983, she has gradually transformed into an acting superstar. She has won the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Actress five times and the Taiwan Golden Horse Award for Best Actress four times. She still holds the record for the number of wins in these two major awards. She is still the only Asian actress to win two performance awards at the three major European international film festivals. After 2004, she suspended her acting career and served as the UNICEF China Ambassador. She occasionally appeared at fashion events and award ceremonies.
