Daniel Craig
Daniel Wroughton Craig, CMG (English: Daniel Wroughton Craig, March 2, 1968 -) is a British actor. Craig trained at the National Youth Theater and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 1991, where he began his career in stage theatre. He made his film debut with "The Boy Has to Be Strong" (1992). Early on, Craig also appeared in the action-adventure TV series Sulo, the historical war drama Sharpe's Eagle, the Disney film The Dragon (1995) and the biopic Elizabeth (1998). From 1998 to 2005, Craig starred in the British TV movie "Double Duty" (1998), the independence war film "The Last Battle" (1999), the drama film "The Man Who Loved Me" (2000), "Illegal Justice" (2002), the crime thriller "Double Duty" (2004) and Steven Spielberg's "Munich" (2005). In October 2005, Craig was cast as the sixth actor to play the fictional British secret agent James Bond/007, and starred in his first 007 film, The Royal Nightclub, which was released in November 2006. Although there was initial dissatisfaction with Craig's casting as Bond, his performance as Bond for the first time was widely praised and he was shortlisted for the British Film Academy Award (BAFTA) for Best Actor. "007 Part 1: Royal Nightclub" became the box office champion of the Bond series at the time. Craig then starred in four more Bond films, namely "Quantum of Solace" (2008), "007: Airborne" (2012), "007: The Devil Surrounds" (2015) and "007: Life and Death" (2021). Among them, "007: Airborne" is currently the highest-grossing film in the Bond series. In 2006, Craig joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Since taking on the role of Bond, he has continued to play leading roles in other films, including the World War II film "Homeland" (2008), the science-fiction film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (2011), the suspense thriller "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (2011) based on Stieg Larsson's novel, and the crime drama "Logan" (2017).
