Mrs Thatcher

Baroness Thatcher Margaret Hilda Thatcher, LG, OM, PC, FRS, FRIC, formerly known as Roberts, commonly known as Mrs. Thatcher, was a British politician who served as the British Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party from 1979 to 1990. She was the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the longest-serving British Prime Minister in the 20th century. Thatcher was once described by a Soviet journalist as the "Iron Lady," a nickname that reflected her conservative and stubborn political stance and leadership style that refused to compromise. Thatcher's series of policies and propositions during her tenure as prime minister were later called "Thatcherism."
