Georgia Toto O'Keeffe was an American modernist painter and sketcher, listed as one of the art masters of the 20th century. O'Keeffe is known as the "Mother of American Modernism". Her paintings have become classic representatives of American art in the 1920s. She is famous for her semi-abstract and semi-realistic techniques. Her themes are quite distinctive, mostly microscopic flowers, changes in rock textures, conches, animal bones, and the desolate American interior landscape. Her works are often filled with subtle changes in the same tone, forming rhythmic compositions. Sometimes the outline of an object in O'Keeffe's paintings makes the viewer feel the crispness of the object.
