Jeff Koons Jeff Koons Artists · United States

Jeff Koons (English: Jeff Koons, /kuːnz/, January 21, 1955 -) is an American artist. His works are often made of extremely monotonous things - such as stainless steel skeletons and mirror-finished balloon beasts, often dyed with bright colors. Koons's works are sold around the world, holding at least one auction price record for a work by a living artist. Critics tend to have two opinions about him. Some believe that his works are avant-garde and have important art historical value. Some think it's kitsch - sensationalism, based on purely self-serving self-promotion. Salinger's last published work was "Hapworth 16, 1924," which was published in The New Yorker magazine on June 19, 1965. Salinger hated prying eyes on his private life.
