YOSHIKI, whose real name is Yoshiki Hayashi, is a Japanese musician, pianist, conductor, songwriter, arranger and music producer. He is world-famous as the leader and founder of the Japanese band X JAPAN. He is the band's drummer, pianist and main composer and producer. He studied classical music, piano, and self-taught jazz drums since he was a child. As an adult, he applied classical music and piano to rock/metal music and became a specialty. In X JAPAN's concerts, he can often be seen switching between drums and piano, combining the violence of the drums with the elegant impression of the piano into a visual art.
