Wong Ka Kui (English: Wong Ka Kui; June 10, 1962 - June 30, 1993), a Hong Kong rock and roll male singer and guitarist, is considered one of the representatives of the Chinese music scene and rock music. As a member of the rock band Beyond, he serves as composer, lyricist, rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist in the band. Wong Ka-kui has a unique hoarse voice, and the vibrato-like processing of the tail tone has become his trademark. He created hundreds of works in his short life. His works cover a wide range of subjects, and most of the contents reflect the current social ills of Hong Kong and what he saw and felt.
