Howard Hughes
Howard Robard Hughes, Jr. (English: Howard Robard Hughes, Jr., December 24, 1905 - April 5, 1976) was a famous American business tycoon, investor, pilot, aerospace engineer, film producer, and philanthropist. He was one of the richest people in the world at the time. He first worked as a film producer and then became an influential figure in the aviation world. Later in life, his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), caused by chronic pain from several plane crashes and increasing deafness, worsened, causing him to behave erratically and lead a reclusive lifestyle. A maverick movie mogul, Hughes gained influence during Hollywood's infancy in the late 1920s, when he made big-budget and often controversial films such as "Unlawful" (1928), "Hell's Angels" (1930) and "Scarface" (1932). He later took control of RKO Pictures.
