She currently plays for the women's Bundesliga team Bayern Munich and serves as the captain of the Danish women's national football team. Harder has won a number of individual honors in women's football, including UEFA Women's Player of the Year twice (2017-18, 2019-20), IFFHS World Women's Player of the Year once, and Danish Football Miss 7 times. In 2018, she missed the Women's Ballon d'Or by only 6 points with Ada Hegerberg; as a team, she was shortlisted for the FIFA Best Team of the Year twice (2017, 2020), the IFFHS World Women's Team of the Year three times, and the IFFHS European Women's Team of the Decade (2011-2020). However, England's Keira Walsh surpassed this record when she moved from Manchester City to Barcelona in September 2022.
