Xing Danwen — biography

Xing Danwen (1967-) is a Chinese contemporary artist and photographer. Born in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in 1967, he graduated from the Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1992. In 1998, he received a scholar exchange scholarship from the Asian Cultural Foundation to study in the United States. In 2001, he graduated from the School of Visual Arts (New York), majoring in photography and multimedia. Currently living in Beijing.
