Erdeniura (Mongolian: ᠡᠷᠳᠡᠨᠢᠣᠭᠤᠯ, Cyrillic: Эрдэнэуул, born 1971), Mongolian, writer, poet, and political dissident in the People's Republic of China. The pen name is Unaga. Born in Wushen Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Formerly a primary school teacher. In February 1992, he tried to escape to Mongolia through the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, but failed. Two people traveling with him were arrested and sentenced to eight months of reform through labor. After being released from the labor camp, he began his writing career and appealed for the liberation of Southern Mongolia through poems, essays and other works. In 1999, he published "Prisoners Outside the Prison" (Шоронгын гаднах хоригдол). The appendix of this book included the Mongolian version of the European Parliament's resolution criticizing the human rights situation in Southern Mongolia. Therefore, he was arrested again by the Chinese government. In 2003, 4 volumes of the essay collection "The Poet Never Closes His Eyes" were published by Tianma Publishing House in Hong Kong. On December 16, 2010, he commented on the independence issue of Southern Mongolia in his book "The Eve of Independence" (Тусгаар тогтонолын өмнѩ) and was arrested on suspicion of publishing illegal publications. His family is scheduled to hold a publication commemoration meeting the next day. They know nothing about his arrest. The Chinese government also refuses to disclose his condition, claiming it is a state secret. Released from Hohhot No. 1 Detention Center on January 24, 2011.
