Xu Guixiang (December 27, 1959 -), whose pen name is Chu Chunqiu, was born in Huoqiu, Anhui, and is a contemporary Chinese writer. Xu Guixiang was born in Huoqiu County, Anhui Province on December 27, 1959. He joined the army in 1978. Most of his works are novels describing military themes. The novel "The Sky of History" won the 6th Mao Dun Literature Award and was later adapted into a TV series of the same name. In December 2016, he was elected vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association.
