Hong Guofan (December 24, 1939 -), male, native of Ningbo, Zhejiang, Chinese molecular biologist, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences. He is currently the director of the National Gene Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
