Guo Huadong
Guo Huadong (October 1950-), Chinese geoscientist. Born in Feng County, Jiangsu Province. Researcher at the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Department of Earth Sciences of Nanjing University in 1977, received a master's degree from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1981, and was awarded an honorary doctorate in science by Curtin University in Australia in 2009. In 2011, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In January 2018, he was elected as a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
