Wes Craven
Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven (English: Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven, August 2, 1939 - August 30, 2015, also translated as Wes Craven, or Wes Craven) was an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. His most famous works are horror films, such as "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and the teen horror film "Scream" quartet. The only non-horror film he directed in 1999 was the inspirational film "Heartsong" starring actress Meryl Streep. This film is also the only one among the more than 20 films directed by Weiss to have been nominated for an Academy Award: the film was nominated for the 72nd Academy Award for Actress and Original Song (nominated for the ending theme song "Music of My Heart"). In 2015, he served as an executive producer in "Scream: TV", an adaptation of "Scream". At the end of the first season of the show (September 1, 2015), the beginning of the TV series paid tribute to Wes Craven.
