David Carradine (English: David Carradine, December 8, 1936 - June 3, 2009), formerly known as John Arthur Carradine Carradine, an American actor, was born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the music theory and arrangement department of the University of California, San Francisco. He was born in a family of actors. His father, brother, and daughter were all film and television actors. In 1966, he performed on Broadway in New York and participated in the first film directed by the famous director Martin Scorsese. In 1972, David Carradine starred in the TV show Gan Guixiang, a silent but excellent martial arts monk from the Shaolin Temple. Later, he starred in the Western movie series "Kung Fu" and became famous. In recent years, he has played many villain roles with perfect accuracy, and American movie fans even awarded the Saturn Award (specially awarded to an actor who plays a villain for the best acting performance) to David. He is also an evergreen actor in the American film industry. On June 4, 2009, while Carradine was filming a movie in Thailand, his body was found in the Swissotel Nai Lert Park in downtown Bangkok. According to the police, Carradine was suspected of hanging himself in the closet by using a rope tied to the curtains. The hotel cleaner discovered the body at 10 a.m., and it was estimated that he had been dead for more than 12 hours. However, Carradine's agent, relatives and friends expressed that they did not believe that Carradine committed suicide and believed that it was caused by an accident or robbery. The Thai police said that the cause of death may have been an accident during self-tying. When they were found, a rope was placed around Carradine's neck, and another rope was placed around his reproductive organs. The two ropes were then tied together and hung in the closet.
