Thomas Samuel Kuhn (English: Thomas Samuel Kuhn, July 18, 1922 - June 17, 1996), American physicist, historian of science and philosopher of science, represented by "Copernican Revolution" and "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". His most famous work, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1962), established a well-known discussion basis for contemporary scientific thought research; whether for approval or criticism, he can be said to be the most influential history of science and philosopher of science, and his works have also been cited in a wide range of fields outside of the history of science. The New York Times believes that with this book, the word paradigm has become one of the most commonly used words in contemporary times.
